Diablo Immortal: Druid Cinematic Concept Art process

Earlier this year I had a pleasure to help great folks at Lunar Animation on the recent Diablo Immortal cinematic. My task was to flesh out the look, feel and art direction for lighting, spacing and look of a cave pit. That later has been brought to life in an animation process.
The output is fantastic and you can dive into some Behind the scenes they put together.

I had a lot of freedom so I could figure out spacing and level design of the cave pit

I was exploring the overall art direction directly in 3D. I do it all the time these days so I can communicate efficiently with the client. That also serves not only as a great base for final paintovers but let me change stuff anytime

For definite shots I was provided by the director James Rodgers from Lunar with locked on camera angles so I could purely focus on colors, light and overal art direction
